In 2010, the city received a grant of $1.8 million for a new industrial park, which is located on a 4-lane highway giving quick and easy access to the city of Austin and Austin airport.
The area between Austin and Bastrop has become a real growth area and more and more businesses are moving here. There is a variety of bioscience businesses settling here, and it is expected this number will continue to increase in this particular field as well as across different sectors.
