The Brixton opened in October of 2009 as a Clash-themed neighborhood punk dive bar. We’ve seen the neighborhood grow over the years and embraced the change with seasonal drink menus, local Austin draft beers, weekly events and plenty of places to sit and chill with your friends. After a major remodel in November of 2012 we’ve hosted plenty of parties, celebrity guest bartenders, bands, DJs, movie nights and badass SXSW parties. We have a cozy covered patio with heaters in the winter & fans in the summer, a couple of TVs and a giant patio projector to watch whatever you’re in to. We’re available for private events, happy hour get-togethers and SXSW events. Swing by when you’re on the east side. Bring your dog if you want — we love the pups! – thebrixtonaustin.com

The Little Darlin’
6507 Circle S Rd.
Austin, TX 78745
512-814-0999
This bar had a great vibe indoors and out. The location is great for meeting up with friends in a central location if you’re all in different areas surrounding the greater Austin area. The outdoor area is large with lots of lounge style wood chairs. Lots of picnic tables and spots to sit and chat. The music wasn’t overwhelmingly loud so it was easy to hear my friends and have an actual conversation. During the daytime hours it’s okay to bring kids to run around outside and play. The menu isn’t catered to children but you could make it work. Very casual but several notches above a dive bar. The outside is well kept with fans and mister sprayers. They have a great selection of beer. Always a good place to come chill and get a drink. – Yelp.com
