Easter Seals
Easterseals Central Texas is proud to be a partner with Austin area Savers Thrift Stores. We collect donations of clothing, household items and small furniture through scheduled pick-ups, donation bin sites, and clothing drives. Items can also be dropped off at Austin area Saver’s Thrift Stores. Every time you donate reusable clothing and household items either to Easterseals Central Texas or directly to Savers Thrift Stores, it benefits our mission of promoting independence and creating opportunities for people with disabilities. Goodwill Central Texas
Residential, commercial, and all Group Bulk Pick-Ups have been temporarily suspended. However, you may donate curbside through our Clothing & Housewares Curbside Collection program. Salvation Army Austin
When you donate goods to The Salvation Army, those items are then sold at our Thrift Stores. And the proceeds are used to fund our Adult Rehabilitation Centers, where those struggling with drugs and alcohol find help, hope, and a second chance at life. As one of the largest disaster relief organizations in the country, The Salvation Army recognizes the need to be prepared. We educate other first responders and the public about how to prepare for and respond to natural disasters and aid in the development of emergency disaster plans. LINK
SafePlace
Particularly during a time of crisis, we rely on community in-kind donations to help us provide basic needs, clothing, and household items to assist survivors and their families. We could not do the work we do without your ongoing support – so from all of us at SAFE, thank you. All new or like-new in-kind donations, which serve a client need, go directly on the shelves in the SAFE donation warehouse for clients and advocates to select. The Settlement Home
Each year, more than 10,000 shoppers flock to The Settlement Home for Children’s Annual Garage & Estate Sale at the Palmer Events Center (900 Barton Springs Road) to get their hands on unique items and bargain-priced merchandise. Shoppers browse in our 21 different “departments,” such as clothing, shoes, jewelry, toys, furniture, books, linen, art, holiday items and so much more. All proceeds go to The Settlement Home for Children. The 45th Annual Garage & Estate Sale will take place November 6–8, 2020 at the Palmer Events Center. LINK

Society of St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Stores
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store offers a variety of items including clothes, furniture, household goods, toys, electronics, and accessories. We help those in need by providing them clothes and household items. We are also a donation drop-off center where we accept gently used items. Revenue generated from sales supports our programs that help those in need in our community. The Society has thrifts stores in Austin and Bryan. Treasure City Thrift
At Treasure City, we believe that thrift stores by definition should be thrifty. So we are. By selling items in our store at lower prices than other local retail and thrift shops, we are affordable to all, opening our doors to a truly diverse set of folks. And unlike other thrift stores, we work towards zero-waste: we throw away as little as possible, we partner with Ecology Action to recycle whatever we can, and we give away unsold items each month at the Really Really Free Market. Recycled Reads for Austin Libraries
Recycled Reads receives all of Austin Public Library’s discarded material, as well as donations from the public. We sell, recycle or repurpose this material, and all our proceeds benefit the Austin Public Library. The bookstore accepts anything printed or recorded, except magazines as well as e-readers and tablets. For the safety of our staff and volunteers, donated items should be in sturdy grocery bags or standard sized boxes that you do not mind parting with. Inside Books Project
Inside Books Project is an Austin-based community service volunteer organization that sends free books and educational materials to prisoners in Texas. Inside Books is the only books-to-prisoners program in Texas, where over 140,000 people are incarcerated. Give your gently used books a second life by donating them to Inside Books Project. Austin Free-Net
Austin Free Net, Austin ISD (AISD) and the City of Austin teamed up to collect, refurbish and distribute used computers to AISD families, as well as internet access. As an organization that offers free digital literacy training and community access to technology, Austin Free Net’s main focus since the summer has been getting these resources to students and teachers ahead of the school year. Austin Diaper Bank
Austin Diaper Bank supports diaper need in all age groups, from newborns to the elderly. Your donations help us keep Central Texas families clean and dry. The Austin Diaper Bank is open each Wednesday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm to accept donated diapers. Austin Bat Cave continues to leverage our creative community of poets, novelists, journalists, musicians, and educators for an exciting year of programming with our partner schools and nonprofits. We have expanded our one-on-one college essay support services during the COVID crisis for high school seniors in Title 1 schools, and we’ve developed a virtual writing workshop program to mitigate learning loss for K-12 students.
